Hi, I'm Eric Karlin, owner of Saw & Cedar.
I'm proud to call Albrightsville home, where I live with my wife and our three children. Since 2012, I've worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse, building my career around helping people through honesty, compassion, and attention to detail. Those same values are the foundation of Saw & Cedar.
Woodworking has always been more than a hobby — it's a passion. What started with custom freehand woodcarving has grown into a business dedicated to quality craftsmanship and dependable home repair services.
Whether I'm restoring a weathered deck, repairing a home, or creating a one-of-a-kind live-edge table or hand-carved sign, I believe every project deserves the same level of care and attention.
Living in the Pocono Mountains has inspired much of my work. I enjoy creating custom pieces that reflect the character of the area, from rustic furniture and carved décor to projects for local homes, cabins, vacation properties and small businesses.
My goal is simple: provide honest communication, quality workmanship, and a service experience that leaves every customer confident they made the right choice.

I started Saw & Cedar because I enjoy solving problems, working with my hands and creating things that are made to last. But craftsmanship alone isn't enough.
I believe the person you invite into your home should be someone you can trust to give you an honest answer — even when that answer doesn't result in more work for them.
If I uncover something unexpected, we'll talk about it before the scope changes. If a repair doesn't make sense, I'll say so. And if a project is going to carry my name, I want to be comfortable knowing it was done properly, with the right materials and methods.
My professional background outside construction taught me that details, communication and accountability matter — and I bring those same standards to every project.
That's the standard I bring to every Saw & Cedar project.

A Professional Standard of Care
In addition to operating Saw & Cedar, Eric has worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse since January 2012. His healthcare career requires regular competency testing and recurring safety training, including CPR, First Aid and AED certification, along with Pennsylvania background clearances and fingerprinting. That professional background carries over into Saw & Cedar through an emphasis on preparedness, clear communication, attention to detail and respect for every customer's home.
These are professional screening and safety credentials — not construction licenses. Saw & Cedar's trade credentials are its Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor registration and business insurance.
